Hinkley Point C - Bridgwater Permanent Competitive Salary + Car/Car Allowance + Flexible Benefits Summary NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater , Somerset.  This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey , the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance , a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project. As we expand and grow with this project we are looking to recruit a Handover Engineer  to support the MEH Alliance with the handover of all rooms and areas from the Civil contractor to the MEH Alliance prepare for the next stage of delivery. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: Responsible for compiling and coordinating handovers including documents from the civil contractor to the MEH. Define boundary of scope of handover activities in all MEH workfaces Ensuring handover certificates are obtained and signed off by NNB and other stakeholders Ensuring all equipment / services handed over are compliant to relevant regulations Ensuring the relevant MEH team members are attending handover meetings and site walkdown. Including Safety, Quality, Building Leads, Lifting, Temp Services, Temp Works, Access, Surveying as a minimum. Ensuring resolution of issues arisen during handover meetings and walkdowns are completed prior to room/area handover. Working closely with the civil contractor and MEH to ensure the works are carried out as planned and meeting accepted criteria of scope and quality. Prioritising handovers procedure to enable non-permanent works and civil coatings works comply with both safety and technical requirement as per the level 4 plan. Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function What we’re looking for : Relevant engineering qualifications and experience, preferably from a civil engineering background. Prior experience in large infrastructure projects, preferably nuclear or other highly regulated industries. Excellent communication skills to work with a range of stake holders and attention to detail to ensure no information is missed prior to handing an area across to the MEH. NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project: We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
