Permanent We are currently supporting a leading organisation in the delivery of safety critical solutions within the nuclear and low carbon energy sectors. They are seeking a Hazards Engineer or Senior Hazards Engineer to contribute to the assessment of internal and external hazards, helping to shape safe, resilient energy systems for the future.

Role overview The successful candidate will focus on hazards assessments and analyses across a variety of technical domains. Responsibilities include leading the delivery of hazards safety cases, interfacing with civil, process and other engineering disciplines, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems such as meteorological hazards impacting the nuclear fleet. Numerical analysis supporting fire, flooding and seismic hazard evaluations may also form part of the role. The role offers exposure to a diverse client base including nuclear new build, fusion, small modular reactors, defence and generation projects. The postholder will support project delivery, address technically complex challenges, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Team and development Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will collaborate with a global technical community and contribute to knowledge sharing. Opportunities exist to mentor junior engineers and develop leadership capabilities in a supportive culture.

Candidate requirements Candidates should be motivated to deliver technically excellent work with attention to detail and an understanding of broader project objectives. Experience in hazards assessment within safety critical or nuclear sectors is desirable.

Additional information This role is based in Bristol, Epsom or Manchester with hybrid working arrangements. Salary is between £42-70K and will be included in the advert. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
