We are seeking an experienced Highway Design Engineer to join our clients established team on a contract basis. This is a remote-based role, so candidates must have prior UK work experience to deliver the work with minimal help and produce high-quality highway designs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed highway design drawings and models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce road markings and signage designs using KeyLines and KeySigns (desirable).
• Prepare and review design documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK highway standards (DMRB, TSRGD, Manual for Streets, etc.).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and attend virtual design meetings as required.
• Support the preparation of planning and technical approval submissions.

Requirements:

• Must have proven experience in highway design within the UK.
• Fully proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Working knowledge of KeyLines and KeySigns is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with UK design standards and guidance.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload remotely.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• 6 months contract initially, with a good view to an extension
• Inside IR35
