A BIT ABOUT FLOCK At Flock we do insurance very differently. Meaning our real-time, data-driven approach enables us to price connected vehicle insurance and assess risk better than ever before, giving fleet owners the insights they need to improve safety. You'll be a key technical contributor in our software engineering team. Over time, youll become a domain expert, growing your own expertise while mentoring others and raising the bar across the team. Youll collaborate with senior and staff engineers across squads, and partner with the Head of Architecture to help shape a platform that offers a world-class developer experience.
Working hand-in-hand with your product manager, youll bring clarity to complex problems and help define sharply scoped, impactful deliverables. Familiarity with AWS managed services; Comfortable with TypeScript and Python (with type hints) or a similar language.
Thoughtful approach to testing; how it shapes code structure and enhances a serverless environment.
Knowledge of functional programming concepts

At Flock, we typically follow a hybrid working model involving a minimum of 3 days per week spent in the office, which is based in Central London, a few minutes walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street.
