Compensation: Estimated $115,000 to $160,000 annual salary based on experience, with potential for increase upon obtaining PE license.
Hybrid Location: Midland Park, NJ, or Goshen, NY office (Assessment for hybrid work arrangement after a 90-day in-office training period).
Work Schedule: Potential for 3 days in the office and 2 from home, subject to client needs and manager approval.
Job Type: Full-time W-2 position with benefits.

Senior Electrical Engineer Job Summary:
LAN Associates is a mid-sized, multi-disciplined architectural and engineering firm seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills on diverse building projects and advance your career. Responsibilities include electrical design and drafting, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff. LAN offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Mentor junior staff
- Design and coordinate electrical projects per industry standards
- Perform engineering tasks for project development, design, and construction
- Prepare proposals and participate in submissions
- Collaborate with architects, owners, vendors, and officials
- Conduct construction administration, review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, coordinate with contractors
- Assist with job site observations, proposals, reports, and presentations
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule
- Develop applications, permits, reports, and specifications
- Attend client and project meetings
- Utilize electrical design calculations and software
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years in AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction), ideally 10 years
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
- PE or EIT certification, with goal to attain PE license (NJ & NY)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and building codes
- Client-facing experience in building projects
- Mentoring experience
- Ability to read construction documents
- Strong project and team management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 20% within the Tri-State Area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in architectural/engineering firms
- REVIT and power analysis software experience
