OverviewIndustrial Placement Student Civil EngineerWe're looking for a Civil Engineering Student to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team on an Industrial Placement, assisting our water team on a project in Falmer, East Sussex.Location: Falmer, East SussexStarting Salary: £26,208 per annumPathway: 12 Months - 40hrs per week, with the potential to lead onto a Graduate positionStarting date: September 2026We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.Notes: 26 days annual leave, 24/7 Wellbeing Support Programme, and more. The business divisions reference can be found on the company site for more information.What you will be responsible forAs an Industrial Placement Civil Engineer, you\'ll be assisting in the planning & coordination, design & management of construction projects and on-site activities in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.What will your day-to-day duties includeAssisting in the planning, execution, and management of projects relevant to your field of study.Collaborating with team members and stakeholders to support project objectives.Conducting research and analysis to inform project decisions and strategies.Preparing reports, presentations, and documentation related to project activities.Participating in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.How does an Industrial Placement work?Kier is committed to encouraging talent and providing opportunities for growth and development.
