Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Support Engineer - Basingstoke - 3 days a week in the office - £40-45k + benefits - 6 month FTC.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with good 2nd / 3rd Line Support skills to join a Basingstoke based organisation who are part-way through a significant digital transformation programme. The role requires onsite presence in the office 3 days per week and the role is being offered on an initial 6 month fixed term contract basis (but may be extended).

The Role

You will be responsible for providing support on IT systems for users who are predominantly based in the Basingstoke office although there are some other sites across the UK. There\'s a mix of BAU work but you\'ll also play a key role in the delivery of new projects.

Key Tasks

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Line Support across the Wintel and Linux Stack
  • Design, implement and manage complex hybrid infrastructure
  • Manage the cloud infrastructure (mixed environment)
  • Help to ensure a proactive service is provided ensuring high quality systems are in place, working and proactively maintained
  • Act as a technical escalation point for the Service Desk Team
  • Participate in the on call rota

The Person

  • In depth 2nd / 3rd Line Infrastructure Support background with skills in Windows, Linux and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Azure, Active Directory, ADD, M365, EntraID, File Services, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of Intune
  • Experience in Powershell scripting
  • Ideally Some AWS / GCP
  • Basic Networking skills - TCP/IP, LAN / WAN, VPN, Routers, Switches and Firewalls

Qualifications such as the AZ104 or AZ900 are a bonus but not necessary as would an educational qualification in IT (e.g. Degree in Computer Science) and / or ITIL Foundation.
