A leading City-based financial services firm is hiring into its newly formed Infrastructure Operations team, and this is a unique opportunity for a hands-on Network Infrastructure Support Engineer looking to deepen and broaden their skill set across both networking and Wintel.This is a support-driven role but the scope of exposure is unusually wide. You'll be the go-to for global site connectivity issues, firewall config, switching problems, and user access incidents across a varied Microsoft and hybrid cloud estate. There's structured training, funded certifications, and real opportunity to step into gaps across both stacks. This role will be Network-Led Role with Broad upskillingLocation: Central London (2-3 days per week in-office)Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefitsWhy this role stands outBroaden your stack: Already strong on networking but want to sharpen your Citrix, VMware or AD skills? You'll work alongside Wintel specialists who'll help build that out.Depth through ownership: Tickets aren't passed around here; you'll be the one resolving issues end-to-end, not logging and escalating.Certs paid for: Need your CCNA, AZ-900, or even a firewall certification? They'll cover it.Low hierarchy, high visibility: You'll report straight to the Infrastructure Ops lead in a small team with influence.Global infrastructure without big-enterprise red tape: Offices in the UK, US and APAC, but no 20-person change board slowing you down.What you'll be doingSupporting and maintaining network infrastructure: routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs (Meraki, Cisco, Checkpoint)Handling escalated support tickets from the service desk across network and Wintel issuesManaging BAU Wintel tasks: Active Directory changes, patching, basic Citrix/VMware supportResponding to site-level issues (e.g. Wi-Fi dropouts in global offices, firewall troubleshooting)Helping improve internal documentation and infrastructure resilienceWhat we're looking forSolid networking knowledge - ideally CCNA-level or equivalent hands-on experienceExperience resolving live issues across switches, firewalls, VPNs and connectivityFamiliarity with Windows infrastructure - Active Directory, patching, endpoint configExperience in a ticket-driven environment, this is a support role, not architectureBackground in mid-sized firms or MSPs (200-3000 user environments is ideal)Someone who enjoys both learning and ownership; you'll grow fast here if you lean inIf you've been the "go-to" infra support person before and want to stretch yourself in a global setting, contact us. #J-18808-Ljbffr
