Overview

This role is within the Infrastructure, Networks and End User Technology team, reporting to Manager, Systems Engineering. You will be working closely with engineers, architects and other teams within a project space to create a secure, automated and modern approach to all aspects of device management to provide world class user experience with continuing service improvement.

Travel

There will be an element of travel – could be to Newcastle, Birmingham (West Midlands, East Midlands) for the day as an example, so the right person would have to be flexible with ad hoc travel or day on site work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ownership and accountability for incidents and requests.
  • Strong expertise in Windows OS deployment and patch management.
  • Creating vanilla application packages with minimal customisations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, including device enrolment failures, hardware and software compatibility, application deployment problems, driver conflicts, and system configuration problems up to 3rd line support level.
  • As an Intune Deployment Engineer, you will be involved in project activities, deployment of new applications, liaising with users and other technical Support teams.
  • Oversee the end-to-end deployment of laptops using AutoPilot and Intune, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly onboarding experience.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of end-to-end deployment of laptops using AutoPilot and Intune
  • Able to create vanilla application packages for Intune with minimal customisations.
  • Enabling automation where possible with PowerShell scripts.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and requests for users.
  • Experience in End-user device provisioning & OS deployment methodologies.
  • Supporting Intune/Autopilot by managing, owning, and resolving incidents and requests. Be a strong team player and collaborate with users and other technical teams efficiently.
  • Enrolling devices into Intune and configuring enrolment settings to streamline the onboarding process for new devices.
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation related to Intune configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Providing support to end-users who have questions or encounter issues with their Intune-managed devices.
  • Proficient written and oral communication to liaise with BBC colleagues, 3rd party partners, outsourcing suppliers.
