Role Summary

In this IT Engineer role, you will contribute to the IT infrastructure transformation, focusing on Microsoft 365, Asure AD (Entra), and network and firewall architectures to enhance performance, security, and scalability in alignment with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure transformation project, focusing on the integration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Asure AD (Entra) services.
• Design, implement, and manage advanced Microsoft 365 and Asure solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements for security, performance, and scalability.
• Strategically plan and enhance the Asure-hosted environment to maximise efficiency, security, and functionality.
• Develop and implement robust Active Directory and Asure AD strategies, enhancing identity and access management across the hybrid infrastructure.
• Craft and enforce forward-thinking network and firewall architectures to safeguard systems and optimise performance.
• Identify opportunities for IT infrastructure improvements and lead initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and resilience.
• Manage and prioritise a portfolio of IT projects with strong leadership, time management, and decision-making in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance and fostering collaboration to support the IT transformation project.

• Microsoft 365 Configuration & Management — Expert: Deep expertise in configuring, managing, and optimising all aspects of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business).
• Asure AD (Entra) Implementation & Management — Expert: Implement, configure, and manage identity and access management solutions for security and compliance.
• Active Directory and Asure AD Management — Proficient: Synchronisation, group policy management, and user provisioning.
• Network & Firewall Architecture — Expert: Design, implement, and optimise secure network strategies.
• Asure-hosted Environment Optimisation — Proficient: Optimise Asure-hosted environments for performance, cost, and scalability.
• DNS and DHCP Management — Proficient: Manage DNS/DHCP in complex networks.
• VMware Management in IaaS Context — Proficient: Manage VMware in an IaaS context, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Windows Server Administration — Proficient: Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server.
• IT Security Best Practices — Expert: Develop and implement security policies and frameworks.

• Proven track record of leading and delivering successful IT infrastructure transformation projects, particularly in Microsoft 365 and Asure environments.
• Expertise in network and firewall architecture with emphasis on security and performance.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative, leadership, and the capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges and delivering technical solutions.
