Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure related projects and ongoing maintenance
- Communicate and coordinate with the person in charge of the project in HQ (in Japanese)
- Communicate and coordinate with users in each office (in English)
- Provide support to end users during system deployment and migration (user manuals, user training)
- Global user support
- Act as 2nd/3rd line support for IT infrastructure related inquiries and incidents
- Escalate incidents to the appropriate vendors
- Incident management with the ticketing system (e.g. ServiceNow)
Skills / Knowledge
- Proven working experience in IT Service management operations
- Basic network knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP, proxy, firewall, switching, routing and WiFi)
- Basic operating system knowledge (e.g. Windows 10, Windows Server, Azure)
- Basic Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
- Second line technical support and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability to a fast-changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in English and Japanese (Reading/Writing/Speaking)
- User-facing support skills
- Self-motivated with an innovative mindset
Experience
- 3 to 5+ years IT experience in a corporate environment
- Second line technical support
- System maintenance
- Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365
- Cisco/Fortinet
- Project management experience preferred
Salary & Location
The salary for this position will be in the range £35K - £45K. The client is based in the City of London.
