Role Overview
As a competent IT Project Engineer, you will act as a key technical expert, delivering end-to-end IT transformation projects across FluidOne’s client base. From scoping and onboarding to migration and implementation, you’ll shape modern IT environments for the full range of FluidOne clients. You will support clients and colleagues in a timely manner in line with the client’s support contracts.
Responsibilities
Deliver and assist on IT projects (cloud, systems, security, hardware)
Communicate with stakeholders to recommend IT improvements
Provide third-party software advice and in-house system testing
Log and resolve issues via the ticketing system with excellent communication
Create and update customer documentation and knowledge base
Work to any agreed SLAs
Prioritise and manage multiple open tickets
Establishing good working relationships with clients
Take details of any problem or service requirement from clients even if they fall outside of your remit – then escalate these appropriately to the relevant team
Take ownership of tickets as appropriate and continue to own the task until completed even if elements are delegated to others
May be required to work out of the office at client sites or FluidOne sites. This will require travel, possible overnight stays, and potential for working out of office hours
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients (up to senior management levels), using appropriate and professional language
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion within parameters and instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Proven experience in an IT Support Role and Team
Must follow all integrated ISO management systems and be aware of and comply with all ISO data security systems
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
Clear and concise communication by phone and in writing
Must complete all necessary paperwork and administrative tasks as required, including timesheets, expenses, ticket notes and related tasks
Ability to handle a constantly changing flow of work; stay productive during slow times, multitask during busy times, and maintain professionalism during stressful situations
