Position Overview
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and hardworking IT Support Engineer with a passion for technology and hardware, aiming to lead a Service Desk team in the future. You will support a studio with over 300 employees and resolve end-user computing issues.
The role is studio-based but also involves supporting remote users across the UK and globally. You will work with the latest technologies, participate in implementing new systems, and deliver mini projects aligned with the IT Strategic roadmap. You will collaborate closely with our skilled Engineering team, contributing to a high-performing, customer-focused IT team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support and advise Junior Service Desk team members.
- Manage IT requests and incidents via the IT Service Desk system.
- Liaise with vendor support teams for troubleshooting hardware and applications.
- Assist onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure hardware and accounts are properly managed.
- Maintain hardware asset inventories and ensure OS patching.
- Undertake small to medium IT projects to improve efficiency and add value.
- Create and maintain IT documentation.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and manage user expectations.
- Assist in setting up IT/AV equipment for studio events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 3+ years in an IT Support role.
- Logical problem-solving skills and a focus on quick resolution.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Enthusiasm for hardware technology.
- Strong MacOS and Windows OS expertise, including device management solutions.
- Experience with user administration in Active Directory, EntraID, Azure, and O365.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and Atlassian tools.
- Understanding of network principles and security.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Beneficial but not required:
- Experience with source control software, SaaS platforms, scripting, VMWare, CI/CD tools, ITIL practices.
