Our client is a fast-paced private equity firm that wants to stay at the cutting edge by embracing innovation through automation. They back ambitious teams to build high-growth businesses and they need a contract IT Systems Engineer with a problem-solving attitude to help keep them there.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, scripting, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting automated workflows and IT systems that drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IT systems with a focus on automation and efficiency
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks
- Build business process automation using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- Deploy solutions securely and at scale across hybrid environments (cloud and on-premises)
- Provide documentation and training for new tools and automations
- Proven experience in IT systems engineering, with a focus on automation
- Strong background in Infrastructure, Networking, Database Management and Scripting
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and modern cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices is an advantage
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator who can convey technical concepts clearly
- Professional and collaborative approach

- An IT Systems Engineer with experience in IT systems engineering and a focus on automation
