Location: Cardiff | Hybrid / Flexible Working

Salary: Up to £50k depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus + benefits

We are looking for a team member who can contribute to existing products, build new ones, and deliver to new markets.

The Role

As part of the LDMS engineering team you will be passionate about your role, use a pragmatic approach to problem solving, deliver quality code to required timelines, and contribute to the product. You will be able to provide opinions while being a team player who invests in the culture of LDMS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop software in a professional manner – producing stable applications aligned to user needs
  • Participate in Agile team ceremonies
  • Work with the team and Product Owners to support the definition of features and enhancements from a backend perspective
  • Deliver backend aspects of features and enhancements using our tech stack
  • Contribute to automated testing suites to ensure quality
  • Support the rollout and deployment of features from end to end

Requirements

Key skills we would see being useful for this role are:

  • Experience developing REST APIs with Java (preferably Java 8+) and Spring Boot
  • Knowledge of SQL DBs, preferably Postgres or Oracle
  • Experience with modern Continuous Integration tooling such as Jenkins
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing
  • A passion for solving problems
  • Good verbal, written and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience with Docker or other containerization tools
  • Experience developing on the Cloud such as AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience with Typescript and React, Angular, or other similar Front End frameworks
  • Experience with WDIO or Selenium for automated browser testing
  • Financial services exposure
