Job Type: Full Time 37.5 hours a week

About the role
As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure systems that meet best practice security, compliance, and performance requirements of the healthcare industry. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on automation, observability, and reliability, helping deliver highly available and compliant platforms.
The role and responsibilities
- Assist with deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and containerized workloads in AWS
- Help maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
- Support the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Work on automated provisioning, scaling, and configuration of infrastructure resources using AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Participate in on call rotations and root cause analysis of platform-related incidents
- Maintain internal documentation on platform tools, policies, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and development teams to meet healthcare-specific requirements
Required Experience
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization concepts (Docker)
- Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and basic infrastructure components
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Basic scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Interest in infrastructure, automation, and security best practices
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with EKS, Terraform, and Helm
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Experience with container security scanning and policy tools (e.g., Aqua, Trivy, OPA)
