Junior Software Engineer, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits + Bonuses

Hertfordshire - Hybrid (Some UK travel required)

Join a growing team delivering secure, React-based software solutions in a dynamic events environment. This is a hands-on development role offering variety, paid training, and real user impact, perfect for a JavaScript junior software engineer ready to grow.

You’ll work across both front-end and back-end projects, combining your React, React Native and JavaScript skills with client interaction and implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Developing front-end and back-end components using JavaScript, React and React Native
• Supporting app builds, deployments and real-world integrations
• Working in a collaborative team with project managers and software engineers
• Handling customer feedback and technical queries directly
• Travelling to client sites around the UK

Qualifications

• Solid experience with JavaScript and React
• HTML, CSS and REST API integration skills
• Awareness of AWS, SQL and Git workflows
• Ideally, some familiarity or experience with React Native in a commercial or personal project context
• Exposure or awareness of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Confident communication style and interest in end-user needs
• Any experience with technical diagramming or user story mapping
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
