Overview
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining MS Azure-based applications used throughout the Iceland business. Working on a weekly rota you will also help to support our applications; this will give you valuable insight into applications and processes currently in use.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the other engineers, business analysts and testers in your squad to build and maintain our integration processes, applications and mobile device applications
- Work in a support capacity & liaise with internal customers from all levels of the business, ensuring they are kept informed throughout the process
- Contribute to design, refinement and development of user stories to deliver leading edge applications which support and enable employees at all levels to do their jobs
- Provide support for team owned applications and be willing to work alongside stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of any issues
- Follow team standards and patterns and will be mentored to ensure your work follows best practices in software engineering
- Follow our agile way of working by attending stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Develop your skills and expertise in web solutions engineering by delivering development tasks and utilising training resources
