The Digital Product Group are part of the wider SwapClear area within LCH. The successful candidate for the Senior Lead Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of new data products which are published via multiple channels.

This is a business development area and requires an exceptional hands-on candidate capable of inspiring and bringing together teams of skilled individuals helping deliver new technology.

DPG covers client facing risk analytics applications, incorporating valuation, sensitivities and volume products along with the commercialisation of data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of software products
  • Develop and maintain scalable Python applications
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt
  • Configure and optimize AWS cloud resources
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams on system architecture
  • Implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
  • Fix and resolve complex technical issues
  • Assist in the elaboration of requirements and solution with partners and transform them into a product delivery, that allows the business to operate effectively and efficiently
  • Being hands-on in development and delivery with other development resource.
Key Skills, Experience and Behaviours
  • Solid understanding of best practice in the modern end-to-end process of define, design, build, test and release of systems
  • 7 years+ proven experience in Python development (with TDD)
  • 5+ experience with AWS services and standard processes (Serverless / EC2 / Networking)
  • 3+ years of Terraform and Terragrunt
  • 2+ years of GitLab and using pipelines
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker or equivalent)
  • Used to working/delivering iteratively in an agile environment
  • Delivery/DevOps focussed mentality
  • Experience of delivering enterprise grade microservice solutions in the AWS cloud
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Strong background in development

  • Be accountable for delivery
  • Deliver solutions with key technologies and patterns based on well-defined criteria
  • Mentor and guide the team during development, providing hand-on support where necessary
  • Work with other teams across the organisation to harmonise good practices and designs
