We are looking for a Lead Engineer to contribute as an individual to plant-related engineering issues and coordinate and lead the engineering resources on shift. The successful candidate will be supporting manufacturing operations, dealing with requirements from multiple facilities and effectively prioritising resources to minimise impact on service level and achieve KPI targets. The Recipe (About the Role)
Adherence to H&S and Quality Standards, ensuring safe ways of working and audit readiness at all times. Lead the multi-disciplined team in effective coordination and prioritisation of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks across multiple plants. Provide support with equipment problem-solving activities on shift and coach the team on problem-solving techniques. Support the development, objective setting, performance reviews and adherence to all HR processes and procedures for the team. To work to, and ensure the team comply with, company practices, procedures, permits, and ensure H&S and Food Safety standard and legal compliance rules are maintained during all activities carried out at all times. Adhere to maintenance and business excellence standards, and identify opportunities to improve. Support, coach and mentor engineers, apprentices, peers and operators, including the transfer of basic engineering tasks to operators. To seek out improvement opportunities across the business. Key Skills Recognised Mechanical and Electrical engineering qualification (HNC preferred); or Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent. Previous line management experience Experience in Food manufacturing environments IOSH Certification Your Bowl of Perks (Benefits)
