About The Role
As our Lead Front-end Engineer, you'll have the rare opportunity to design, build, and launch every user-facing experience for web and mobile from scratch. You will be solely responsible for developing and maintaining the entire front‑end and full‑stack systems, integrating with backend services and infrastructure.
Full‑stack experience is required, you’ll manage everything from infrastructure through backend connections to UI. This role offers large autonomy and responsibility, ideal for someone ready to lead technically and shape the product foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy full‑stack applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and related technologies
- Fully own web and mobile features end to end
- Real-time observability dashboards
- Advanced data visualisations
- Backend integrations and data flow
- Deploy, maintain, and scale applications independently with Vercel and AWS
- Connect front‑end systems to backend databases (Clickhouse) and internal APIs
- Establish engineering standards, build foundational tooling, and support future hiring
- Partner closely with design, product, and backend teams to ensure cohesive development
Skills & Experience (required)
- 3+ years building and launching complex full‑stack applications independently
- Deep expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Proven ability to ship and maintain production‑grade systems end to end
- Experience deploying and scaling applications using Vercel and AWS
- Strong product mindset, aligning technical decisions with user and business needs
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Clickhouse or other high‑performance data platforms
- Prior experience as the sole or lead engineer on major product launches
- Early‑stage startup or entrepreneurial experience
Our Tech Stack
- Core: Next.js, TypeScript, Vercel, AWS, Clickhouse
- Additional (not required): Rust (backend), Nextflow, AlphaFold, Terraform, eBPF
Note: Full‑stack experience is required. Additional tech experience is beneficial but not essential—adaptability, fundamentals, and curiosity are our priorities.
