As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will not only lead a small team of technicians but also play a crucial role in the build, test, repair, refurbishment, and upgrade of fleet equipment. This position offers a unique chance to see the entire life cycle, from conception to product support, and to contribute to the growth of production capacity and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership: Manage and develop a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and 5S standards. - Hands-On Involvement: Engage directly in manufacturing activities to understand the robot's build and testing processes. - Documentation and Methods: Support the creation and adoption of manufacturing methods and documentation. - Continuous Improvement: Identify and act upon opportunities for process improvements. - Production Planning: Collaborate with the Buyer Planner to ensure robust production plans are made and met.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Educational Background: Degree in engineering, operations management, or a science-related subject. - Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in leading teams within a manufacturing environment. - Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in a related field, with a strong track record in root cause problem-solving. - Recruitment Skills: Experience in building and developing work teams. - Driving Licence: Full clean driving licence. - Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
