OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. As the Software Engineer in Test - Mobile Automation, you will have autonomy to build a revolutionising automation framework using JavaScript, WebDriver IO, Appium. You will contribute to the technical design, testing, implementation, and delivery of mobile applications using continuous delivery and agile best practices. The difference you'll make.ResponsibilitiesManaging quality of the software product by implementing effective testing strategies, processes, and tools, reducing defects and issues during the software development life cycle and increasing customer satisfaction.Delivering automation suites efficiently on time by coordinating and controlling dependencies and timelines.Producing a detailed certification and project report to consolidate the current project status.Supporting the team to brainstorm effective solutions in the event of a problem.Working with Development, QA engineers and business analysts to ensure the agreed solution is built, tested, and implemented to the highest standards.Designing and developing Java/JavaScript, Selenium/WebDriver IO test automation frameworks that meet the project requirements.Being familiar with the latest tools and technologies for test automation and selecting the most appropriate ones for the project.Having experience on both Android and iOS platforms for mobile native application automation.Defining the automation strategy for the project, including scope, level, and types of tests to be automated.Liaising with developers and testers to integrate the automation in the development process to achieve CI/CD.Developing scripts using JavaScript, NodeJS, WebDriver IO / Selenium, Jest, and Cucumber.Detailed understanding of CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions workflows.AWS certification or any cloud certification.Experience in non-functional testing (preferably performance testing).Here at Santander, we push the boundaries and create innovative, customer-centric tech solutions.
