Lead Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net API AWS) – Nottingham / work-from-home option to £80k.

Opportunity to progress your career in a senior, hands-on leadership role at a SaaS tech company. As a Lead Software Engineer you'll join an Agile team focusing on designing and developing payment and billing applications. You’ll work with a modern tech stack, with emphasis on backend C# .NET and API development. You’ll mentor others to reach their potential, take ownership of technical projects, and contribute to high-level architecture discussions. Location / WFH: remote interview and onboarding; you can work remotely most of the time with in-person meetings at the Nottingham office about once per month or quarter.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems using C# .NET and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with payment and billing platforms.
• Collaborate with the Agile squad, mentor teammates, and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Take ownership of technical projects and drive them to completion.

Qualifications

• Strong backend C# .NET development skills.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS.
• Good understanding of databases with SQL skills.
• Collaborative, willing to mentor others and work with Technical Leads / Agile Squad Leaders.
• Degree educated in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
