This role offers the opportunity to apply and grow your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Job responsibilitiesRegularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesLead the design and development of cloud infrastructure offerings and platform tools, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and reliable; serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus; provide technical leadership and guidance to the cloud engineering teamInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesContributes to a team culture of equity and respectCollaborates with development teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloudEnsures compliance with security and regulatory requirements for the cloudRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceHands-on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)Advanced knowledge of containerization and container runtime/orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS, etc.)Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, and CloudFormationProficiency with programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and understanding of software development best practicesAbility to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little or no oversightExperience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience implementing multi-cloud architecturesCertifications in target areas (Cloud, Kubernetes, IaC, etc.)About UsJ.P.
