Lead Software Engineer | C++ | Python | Linux Oxfordshire | Hybrid | £65,000pa plus benefits

Lead Software Engineer role focused on technically leading and mentoring software engineers using C++ and Python on Linux, developing instrumentation and tools for scientific research.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Software Engineers, providing technical direction and architectural vision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drive alignment and foster a positive, innovative team culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics or Science/Materials subject
• Experience in Linux-based software application development using modern C++
• Experience with network and other communication buses
• Experience with tools such as CMake

Working arrangement

Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Flexible start and finish times to suit your schedule.

Benefits & Additional information

£65,000 per annum plus benefits. Contract, Full-time.
