About the Company

G.Digital have partnered with a software house that works with multiple household-name clients and has been ranked as one of the best places to work in the UK. They’re looking to add one more A-Player to their Engineering team: a Lead Software Engineer who’s comfortable doing Node.js on the backend when needed. You’ll join a high-performing team focused on designing, scaling, and maintaining a growing SaaS platform.

Lead Software Engineer | React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS | £90K | Fully Remote (UK-based)

What You’ll Be Working With

• React
• Node.js (backend services)
• AWS Serverless — Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.
• RESTful APIs and cloud-native architectures
• CI/CD workflows and version control (Git)

What You’ll Bring

• 5–7+ years’ experience in software engineering, with a frontend focus
• Strong track record of building commercial projects and modern, responsive user interfaces with React
• Proven ability to contribute across the stack (Node.js backend, API integration)
• Strong experience working with AWS, particularly serverless environments
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI and Design teams to bring polished, thoughtful features to life
• A STEM degree would be preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the development of engaging, performant frontend experiences
• Collaborating with design and product teams to transform ideas into elegant, scalable UI components
• Getting stuck into a mix of greenfield builds and proof-of-concept work
• Contributing to backend services using Node.js in a serverless AWS architecture
• Owning features end-to-end and shipping production-ready code
• Working as part of a tight-knit engineering team that values clean code, best practices, and continuous learning
