Their systems combine precision hardware, efficient firmware, and advanced RF connectivity to deliver intelligent, robust, and scalable sensing solutions across industrial, environmental, and commercial markets.You’ll lead a skilled team of firmware and hardware engineers, architecting the next generation ofBLE- and sub-GHz-enabled sensing platformsfrom concept through deployment. One week you might be optimising low-energy wireless stack integration for maximum battery life, the next you’re in the lab validating RF range, sensor accuracy, and communication reliability under challenging real-world conditions.You will oversee the end-to-end development of the embedded sensing stack, from sensor interfaces and microcontroller firmware to RF design, wireless data transmission, and system testing while driving innovation and mentoring a growing technical team.This role gives you the freedom to shape design choices, the chance to push boundaries inlow-power sensing technology, and the satisfaction of seeing your team’s breakthroughs applied to mission-critical applications in the real world.Your Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.8+ years of experience inembedded hardware/firmware for wireless sensors, with proven delivery of low-power solutions.Leadership experience managing engineering teams in product development.Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures and embedded C/C++.Understanding of hardware design principles (schematics, PCB layout, power management, energy optimisation).Expertise inRF design, testing, and wireless sensing protocols(BLE, sub-GHz RF, mesh networks, LoRa, etc.).Experience with prototype development, sensor integration, hardware bring-up, debugging, and optimisation for long-term, battery-powered operation.5V Tech are acting as an Employment Agency for the purposes of this job vacancy.
