By collaborating with renowned brands across various sectors, as well as numerous independent and state schools, we integrate design, processes, and technology to achieve organisational goals and deliver outstanding client experiences.Our clients enjoy technology services that blend the expertise and scale of a large organisation with the personal touch and sentiment of a family-run business.Role ProfileM anage and maintain all IT systems so that teachers, students, and staff can use technology safely, securely, reliably, and productively.Day-To-Day ResponsibilitiesEnsure all IT services (local and remote) and devices necessary for the day to day running of the school are available and in good working order.Ensure all IT users have secure and appropriate access to IT systems.Ensure all data is backed up to the school’s requirementsEnsure the safe use of IT by studentsKey Role Specific TasksProactively maintain the school’s IT network, troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective fixes.Managing and promptly resolving all support tickets within the service desk, ensuring in-person support is a priority.Escalate technical problems to third parties when required, always seeking a quick and permanent resolution.Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, security, and administration of users and devices.Updating the school’s IT asset register and documentation for all IT systems.Routine maintenance of classroom IT, making regular checks of equipment to avoid disruption to teaching & learning.Monitoring IT systems and the network for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.Ensuring that all systems are safe for pupil use, working closely with the safeguarding team to ensure harmful content is not accessible on any IT platform.Work closely with the inTEC Education team by giving feedback and following mutually agreed best practises.Work on various projects throughout the year, in collaboration with inTEC and other IT service providers.Personal AttributesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to solve problemsConfident working autonomouslyAble to prioritise in a busy working environmentExperience & Qualifications3+ Years in an IT support environment, 1+ year in a senior role.Excellent knowledge of desktop operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac OSX)Good networking skills (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLAN, switching, wireless)Good knowledge of Microsoft applicationsEducational MIS systems experience (SIMS)Experience of supporting services in the cloud (e.g. SaaS)Previous experience working in a schoolWeb & E-mail Security in regards to child safeguardingRecruitment ProcessWe want the best people to join our team.It’s important that you are yourself when we interview you, so we can see the best of you.
