You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.To find out more about our Lighting and Energy Solutions business click on the following link and discover what awaits you at WSP: Lighting & Energy Solutions | WSPA Little More About Your Role…Liaison with colleagues within the Lighting and Energy Solutions team, wider multi-disciplinary design teams, stakeholders and clients;Production of detailed design layouts, engineering detail drawings and support documentation in accordance with WSPs Quality Assurance and client requirements;Input on the preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, designs, specifications and contract documents and TA 501 – Road Lighting Appraisals (formerly TA 49/07)Preparation of Lighting Reality calculations;Delivery of works from Highway frameworks and key clients in the Strategic Road Network.Engagement with professional organisations, contractors and suppliers of luminaire, columns, control manufacturers;Support with the development of project proposals and progress against agreed programme milestones and budget;A strong understanding of external lighting standards, industry professional guidance, design manual for road and bridges, CDM legislation and regulations.YOUR TEAMYou will be joining a growing, multi-disciplinary, energetic team of lighting professionals that is highly regarded within the industry, which includes the following specialisms: Strategic Road Network, Electrical and EV, Environmental, Local Government and Architectural.You will be part of a global network of lighting specialists.You will have the opportunity to join or maintain a professional membership.You will have opportunity to gain support to upgrade your professional membership via our internal mentoring system in WSPWe work on projects, in a variety of sectors: Transportation and Infrastructure, Active Travel Routes, Commercial, Urban Realm with both strategic road network, local government and private clients.You will have access to regular CPD sessions on a variety of interesting topics and advanced training programs for personal development and internal projects and systems.What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…Registration with the Engineering Council (EngTech, IEng or CEng) or working towards;Are proficient in the use of Lighting Reality design software and AutoCAD;Have a good general awareness and understanding of electrical design and lighting maintenance operations;Can demonstrate competency and experience in lighting design from conception through to issue for construction;Can work independently, and as part of a team having excellent communication and organisational skills;Shown ability to deliver projects in different sectors.A good knowledge of external lighting products.Knowledge of requirements for trunk and local roads / or an exterior lighting design consultancy ;Don’t quite meet all the criteria?
