We are seeking an experienced contract
Linux Engineer
to join a leading enterprise client on a major infrastructure transformation programme. This role will focus on building secure, production-ready Linux environments and automating infrastructure patterns to enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Build
Linux (RHEL) vanilla images
and implement security hardening to meet enterprise and compliance standards. Collaborate with the lead engineer to design and deliver
automated build pipelines
and repeatable Day-2 operational patterns. Contribute to the uplift of older OS versions and support integration with backup/recovery systems for onboarding applications. Work closely with
VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) developers
to orchestrate provisioning workflows and deliver end-to-end automation. Ensure Linux environments are
production-ready , resilient, and capable of supporting enterprise workloads. Skills & Experience Required
Strong background in
enterprise RHEL/Linux engineering , including build and hardening. Hands-on experience with
automation for image creation and pipelines , ideally with exposure to CI/CD practices. Ability to integrate into
vRO-driven orchestration workflows . Familiarity with
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
and working across both virtual and bare-metal infrastructures. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced environments. What's on Offer
