Lead Computer Vision Engineer | AI for Sports Analytics | Remote (UK)

We’re working with an exciting, high-growth startup that’s redefining how elite sports performance is measured and understood. With deep technical roots, strong investor backing, and a growing roster of live deployments, this team is building advanced AI systems to turn raw video into meaningful, real-time insight.

They’re now hiring a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to own and scale the CV function—someone who can bridge research and production, mentor others, and help shape the product roadmap as they push their tech into the hands of top-tier sports professionals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading development of state-of-the-art computer vision models for live sports analytics
• Turning prototype models into robust, production-ready features
• Collaborating across engineering, product, and AI to align vision with delivery
• Optimising models for deployment in time-sensitive, resource-constrained environments
• Mentoring junior engineers and shaping a high-performing technical culture
• Owning the full lifecycle from model design to product launch
• Strong experience with deep learning, especially in areas like object detection, tracking, pose estimation, or segmentation
• Proficiency with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for training and deployment
• Familiarity with Docker and Linux-based development workflows
• Experience building real-time or resource-efficient systems is a big plus
• Bonus if you’ve worked with inference tools like TensorRT/ONNX or have hands-on with optical calibration and MLOps practices
