Morson Talent are recruiting for a Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Engineer to join a leading aerospace programme at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.
Pay: £40.00 per hour Umbrella / £29.89 per hour PAYE
Location: RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Contract: 12 months
Shift is 5,5,4
The role:
As an MCC Engineer, you will act as the single point of contact for the deployed fleet, providing technical and scheduling advice and monitoring aircraft serviceability. You will be central to coordinating recovery efforts, liaising across maintenance, logistics, and planning teams to ensure the continued readiness of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the focal point for fleet serviceability and operational reporting
Lead recovery of AOG aircraft at Main Operating Base and deployed locations
Liaise with Logistics, Fleet Tasking, Availability Management, and Short-Term Planning teams
Monitor Minimum Operational & Safety Equipment List (MOSEL) and Acceptable Deferred Faults (ADF) to ensure compliance
Coordinate with Pt.145 Line Supervisors regarding readiness and maintenance progress
Escalate issues affecting aircraft availability, engaging senior stakeholders where required
Enact Business Continuity and RAF Crash & Disaster Plans in the event of a major incident
Provide operational priorities and daily status briefs to leadership and stakeholders
Contribute to ISERs, notices to crew, fleet tasking, technical queries, and AMTAC requests
Manage concession rectifications, interval extensions, and cannibalisation approvals
Maintain competence in line with aircraft developments and organisational requirements
Skills & Experience:
Ideally hold an EASA Pt.66 licence, or equivalent relevant experience
Strong knowledge of aviation standards including SFAR-88, EWIS, and Human Factors
Proficiency in IT systems such as SharePoint, Q-Pulse, MDS, and other local databases
Fluent spoken and written English
Previous military aviation experience desirable but not essential
Security Requirements:
Applicants must be capable of achieving UK Security Clearance (UKSC) and be eligible under UK export control regulations.
