We are recruiting for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (mechanical biased) to work in a large scale manufacturing facility in the Blackburn area. The role with be providing maintenance engineering to the onsite production/manufacturing equipment and plant to ensure efficient operation and reduce down-time. The role will involve preventative maintenance and reactive repair works. The position is a permanent role paying circa 45.7k (inc SA) and based off an alternating early and late shift pattern. Week 1 - Mon-Fri 06:00-14:00, week 2 Mon-Thur 13:45 - 22:15. Maintenance Engineer duties: Preventive maintenance / Minimising downtime Continuous improvement To enhance reliability and performance. Reactive repairs Working across a variety of processing and manufacturing plant (mechanical bias) Plus work on PLC's, controls, Scada, compressors Chemical and polymer processing equipment Liaising and overlap with the electrical bias engineers
