Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Paternity Cover)

Location: Dumfries (Production Facility - accommodation provided)

Contract: Fixed Term – 6 to 8 Weeks

Overview:

I am recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide paternity cover at our production facility in Dumfries. This short-term role is essential in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical and electrical systems to support continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.

*

Support production teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

*

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and adhere to site safety standards.

*

Assist with any ongoing improvement or maintenance projects during the cover period.

Requirements:

*

Qualified or time-served in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (multi-skilled ).

*

Proven maintenance experience within a production or manufacturing environment.

*

Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.

*

Good working knowledge of industrial systems such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and control panels.

*

Flexible and reliable, with the ability to step into an established maintenance team.

Duration: 6–8 weeks (paternity cover)
