OverviewNES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our client, who are a lead industrial user of additive manufacturing.Job title: Maintenance EngineerLocation: WorcesterContract positionPay rate: £28/hourShifts: 7am-3pm Mon-FriJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruption.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and coordinate procurement as needed.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.RequirementsProven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Engineering or related field).Preferred QualificationsExperience in industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals.Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) AdvantageousPLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.Working ConditionsOn-call availability for emergency repairs.Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package.Generous holiday allowance.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.An inclusive and collaborative work environment.Access to cutting-edge technologies and the chance to make a significant impact in the energy sector.About NES FircroftWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world\'s leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
