We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MAINTENANCE ENGINEER to join the team of an established BLACK COUNTRY based manufacturing and engineering business.

Working from a base in BILSTON as well as across two other near by sites you will provide multi skilled maintenance support for manufacturing equipment in particular and the wider site and plant in general.

Salary is completely dependent on experience and will be meaningfully discussed at interview however we anticipate that the starting salary will be in the region of £35,000 to £40,000 plus overtime. Core hours will likely be 8.00am to 5pm Monday to Friday although due to the nature of the work flexibility will doubtless be require by both parties.

As a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER within this business you will quickly become involved in:

* Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of production machinery & ancillaries

* Planned / preventative maintenance, servicing

* Hands on maintenance work across the site, plant and machinery

* Working on motors, drives, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, electric ovens, pneumatics, extraction units and much more.

* Installation & commissioning of production equipment

* Working with third party service engineers and contractors

The ideal MAINTENANCE ENGINEER will display the following key skills & experience:

* Maintaining production, manufacturing or processing machinery

* Mechanical & Electrical multi skilling to some degree

* Working to a planned maintenance / service schedule

* Responding to breakdowns to minimise downtime

* Formal qualification or apprenticeship

* Experience of Powder Coating, Paint, Metal Treatment / Finishing, Spraying, Burners, Ovens, Conveyors and Metal Cutting / Forming machinery will all be very advantageous

* A formal electrical qualification of some description maybe 16th/17th/18th edition would be good

* Because of travel between sites a driving license is essential

* Above all, a genuine passion for getting stuck in and hands dirty

Note : You must already reside in the West Midlands with existing “right to work” entitlement.

This MAINTENANCE ENGINEER opportunity will ideally suit an experienced all round hands on engineer ideally with some electrical and mechanical skills who has developed their experience within manufacturing or processing of some description.
