Shift Maintenance Engineer
* Location: WN8 postcode area
* Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (excluding shift allowance)
* Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts – 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm
* Overtime: Time and a half (Mon–Sat), double time (Sun)
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, forward-thinking manufacturing site in the WN8 area.
This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the smooth operation of high-speed production lines. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
*
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
*
Work across a variety of production equipment including conveyors, printers, glue stations, folders, feeders, wrappers, labellers, and mailing machines
*
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects
*
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
About You:
*
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
*
Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
*
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
*
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
*
Flexible approach to working shifts and overtime during busy periods
