Macgregor Black are partnering with a Leading UK Food Manufacturer with over 100 years of heritage, producing some of the nation’s most loved treats where together we are looking to appoint Maintenance Engineers. This is a permanent role based in Lancashire.


Key Responsibilities:


  • We’re looking for skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (electrical or mechanical bias) to join our high-performing FMCG engineering team in Lancashire.
  • As part of a close-knit shift team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of modern production equipment from ovens and mixers to conveyors and packaging lines. You’ll help keep downtime to a minimum, support production during changeovers/start-ups, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed production machinery.
  • Fault-finding and problem solving across both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Supporting production teams to ensure smooth changeovers and minimal downtime.
  • Driving equipment reliability through improvement projects and upgrades.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and compliance (H&S, food safety, 5S).
  • Working collaboratively in a team of 20 engineers, supported by leaders who value development and internal progression.



What We're Looking For:


  • A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or highly regulated environments (FMCG preferred).
  • Strong fault-finding skills in either discipline (multi-skilled is ideal).
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and high standards.
