Maintenance Engineer Sudbury, Suffolk Salary: £42,000 Basic Monday to Friday - Shifts
Outsource UK is recruiting on behalf of a respected textiles manufacturer in Sudbury, Suffolk, for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their technical team.
The Role: As a Maintenance Engineer you'll play a vital role in the mechanical maintenance of weaving machinery – including rapier dobby and jacquard looms – to ensure optimal machine performance, minimal downtime, and product quality. This is a hands-on, varied role requiring both preventative and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance on powered weaving equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. React promptly to technical issues reported by Weavers to minimise machine downtime. Support ongoing machine performance improvements aligned with KPIs in quality, safety, and productivity. Log all maintenance work for traceability. Perform bench repairs and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager, Senior Technician, and Weaving Team.
