About the Role:
Our client are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join their fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of machinery to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in production. Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site facilities. Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs to minimise production disruption. Work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines, including PLC fault finding, motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Support continuous improvement projects, implementing engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times. Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve recurring issues and optimise machine performance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within FMCG, food, or manufacturing environments. Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar). Good understanding of health & safety and food hygiene requirements. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced setting.
