Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Working on a rotating shift pattern, the Maintenance Engineer will carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and support production teams with changeovers. The position requires a proactive approach to reducing downtime, improving processes, and maintaining high safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery.
Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns quickly to minimise disruption.
Support production with machine setup and changeovers.
Identify improvements to processes, schedules, and equipment reliability.
Work to strict safety standards and complete accurate maintenance reports.
Apply fabrication/welding skills when required.
Maintain a tidy and organised work environment.
Contribute to team success with flexibility and collaboration.
Candidate Profile Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of PPM, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
IT literate with experience using maintenance systems.
Valid driving licence.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Desirable Skills Electrical knowledge or experience.
Previous exposure to factory or high-volume production environments.
