We are working with a leading UK manufacturer seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their small, close-knit team near Leicester. This role will be the most senior maintenance position on site, giving you full ownership of the maintenance function as a lead/manager.

You will play a vital part in maximising profitability through the effective control and monitoring of the company’s maintenance functions, servicing, and repair of factory machinery, as well as ensuring projects are completed to agreed timescales.

The package details for the Maintenance Engineer:

* Salary: From £40,000 (negotiable depending on experience).

* Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:30–17:00, Fri 08:30–16:00.

* Pension: Matched 4% contribution.

* Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays (with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown).

The Role:

* Lead and take ownership of all maintenance activities as the most senior engineer on site.

* Plan, control, and monitor production machinery maintenance.

* Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs, implementing service plans where needed.

* Maintain perpetual inventory procedures and standards.

* Manage stock control and assist in supplier development.

* Keep accurate records, statistics, and computer-based systems for technical support.

* Contribute to project delivery within agreed timelines.
