Job Title: Maintenance Engineer\n\nLocation: Newcastle\nContract: 6months- Possible perm after for the right candidate\nSalary: £ 45,636 to £57,937 via Umbrella\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe're looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Heat Networks team on a temporary to perm basis. This is a home-based role with regular travel to energy centres and customer sites across Newcastle and infrequent travel to other UK locations(Sheffield, Manchester, Leamington Spa) \n \n You'll be responsible for both routine and emergency maintenance of equipment within our energy centres, including CHP engines, boilers, pump systems, and electrical/control systems. You'll also attend customer properties to service, repair, or replace Heat Interface Units (HIUs).\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nRespond to reports of faults or breakdowns\nConduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance\nLiaise with customers, operations teams, contractors, and specialists\nPlan and execute maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and control systems\nParticipate in the on-call standby rota\nSupport efforts to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset performance\nUse maintenance management systems to track and manage tasks\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline\nCommercial Gas certification with valid ACS qualifications\nIOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)\nStrong understanding of safety practices, hazard identification, and risk management\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to diagnose issues, evaluate data, and make informed decisions\nStrong planning and organisational skills\nWillingness to travel and work flexibly as required\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team \n\nThis vacancy is being advertised by Rullion Ltd acting as an employment business.\n\nSince 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands to SMEs and start-ups.
