Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hull
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm
The Company
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and long-standing client based in Hull. This business operates in a specialist heavy processing sector and is known for its strong team culture, robust equipment, and a varied working environment.
The Role
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be working closely with a small, close-knit team of engineers to maintain and repair a wide range of heavy-duty processing machinery. The work is predominantly reactive maintenance, with some planned preventative tasks.
You’ll be working on equipment such as blowers, Vacuum equipment, mixers, and elevators. Typical issues will include fault finding on motors, wiring problems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general mechanical breakdowns. The business values engineers who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy getting involved in whatever needs doing.
There may be occasional call-out requirements, so a degree of flexibility is important.
What We’re Looking For
Apprentice trained in a relevant engineering discipline
Genuinely multi-skilled, with both mechanical and electrical competence
Confident fault-finding and working on motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and wiring issues
Proven Experience in a heavy industrial or factory maintenance environment is highly beneficial
A get-stuck-in attitude – willing to roll your sleeves up and help out wherever needed
Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a small team
Willingness to support occasional call-out work when required
Why Apply
This is a solid opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable role with early finishes, a collaborative work environment, and the chance to get involved in meaningful, hands-on maintenance work every day. Your input will be valued, and your contribution will make a real difference.
