We believe in “Professionalism, Communication, Teamwork, External Focus and Service Excellence”.The Maintenance Engineer, UK reports to the Maintenance Manager, UK. This role is depot based at Meir, Stoke-on-Trent with occasional travel as required by business needs.Job ResponsibilitiesAsset Management: Maintain the maintenance schedules and ensure the mobile fleet & regenration station is ready and operable; check the fleet in and out and ensure units are operable; assist in management of asset roadworthiness; ensure depot assets are secure and in storage-ready condition.Mobilisation: Ensure equipment is delivered to site in a timely manner with trained personnel to hook up and commission; ensure the customer’s site is ready to accept a mobile unit or implement requirements to make a unit operational; ensure relevant paperwork (method statements, risk assessments) is compliant; ensure the unit runs for the duration of the hire and service visits are performed; manage demobilisation so the site is left in the expected condition.Service Management: Coordinate required support from operations; ensure personnel are trained, competent, and aligned with customer needs; monitor service delivery to meet customer requirements.Procurement: Identify consumables and equipment for projects and fleet maintenance; ensure procurement through appropriate systems and maintain adequate stocks of spares and consumables.Health & Safety: Keep assets in a safe condition (including fire extinguishers and first aid kits); develop risk assessments for mobile asset deployments; write H&S plans for projects; assist in training and record-keeping; ensure sub-contractors are H&S approved and operate to plans.QA: Assist in developing systems and procedures for delivery and project management; assist in audits, particularly of on-site activities.Corporate Social Responsibility: Follow the Net Zero Commitment of the Saur Group; actively participate in socially responsible activities; maintain high standards of social and environmental performance with transparency; contribute to the health and safety of all employees; follow sustainable policies and report concerns; integrate social and environmental impact into daily decisions.Job RequirementsMechanical and Electrical training to at least Part II; technical school diploma or equivalent experience in the water treatment or related industry.Proven experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in water treatment or related field.Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components.Excellent English communication skills; able to express information clearly and concisely.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.Full driving license required; forklift license desirable.Job LocationThis role is depot based at Meir, Stoke-on-Trent.
