Got Reactive experience? My client is looking for a Reactive Field Service Engineer with an electrical bias to join a growing service team, supporting customers across the North West and North East. This is a home-based role with regular travel to customer sites, working on large machinery in fast-paced FMCG warehouses - including conveyors, auto-loaders, and automated handling systems.


Hours are 5pm - 2am. If you have both mechanical and electrical experience and enjoy hands-on repair work in dynamic environments, this could be the opportunity for you.



Responsibilities



  • Respond to customer breakdowns on-site, carrying out repairs on a wide range of warehouse machinery

  • Diagnose faults, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, and deliver solutions quickly and safely

  • Work closely with a central support team, ensuring service excellence and strong customer communication

  • Take part in an on-call rota (typically 1 week in 3-4)

  • Receive ongoing training, support, and opportunities to progress your career



Experience Required



  • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering qualifications (HND/HNC/Apprenticeship)

  • Strong electrical skills - NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (2391, 2394, 2395) or equivalent

  • Previous experience working on large-scale machinery in FMCG/logistics/automation environments

  • Knowledge of health & safety, including risk assessments and method statements

  • Full UK driving licence
