Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity? I’m currently representing a leading Manufacturing company based in Tamworth and they’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

This will be a rotating shift weekly of Monday – Thursday 06:00–13:30 / 13:30-21:00 and Friday 06:00-12:30 / 12:30-19:00.

This role does require the Engineer to work a rota of 1 Saturday every 6 weeks and 1 week of nightshift (21:00-06:00 M-Th) per year with allowance (to cover AL).

Job Description

Communicate effectively with operations personnel and management to support smooth manufacturing processes.

Carry out and maintain planned and preventative maintenance using up-to-date methods.

Accurately log maintenance tasks in the management system and ensure progress is regularly updated.

Prioritise safety by consistently adhering to and promoting safe working practices across the site.

Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, ensure high-standard repairs, identify root causes, and minimise operational downtime.

Maintenance Engineer

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing specialised machinery, with a multi-skilled background.

Hold an electrical qualification equivalent to C&G, BTEC, or NVQ.

Confident in reading schematic and electrical wiring diagrams, with experience working on 3-phase motors, sensors, drives, contactors, and relays.

PLC fault-finding skills are a bonus but not a requirement.

Manufacturing sector experience such as FMCG, food, metals, recycling, automation, foundry, brick, or aerospace
