The Company
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a global engineering manufactureroperating within the aerospace and defence supply chain. With over 400 employees on site, the business runs a highly technical, heavy-industry environment with, large hydraulic presses, and CNC facilities.

The Role – Maintenance Engineer
You will play a key role in ensuring reliability across a wide variety of heavy industrial equipment. This is a mechanically biased role working on high-value plant within a challenging but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy manufacturing equipment.
Fault find mechanically on, hydraulic presses
Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, and gearboxes.
Read and interpret hydraulic and engineering drawings.
Support long-term PPM and reliability improvement projects.
Replace and repair mechanical components to ensure safe operation.
About You
Essentials:
Time-served Apprenticeship with Level 3 Mechanical Qualification.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in medium to heavy manufacturing environments (e.g., foundry, steel, aerospace, automotive, chemical, brick).
Strong fault-finding skills with hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
Comfortable working in a heavy-industry environment.
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings.
Desirable:
Previous experience in aerospace, metals, foundry, or forging environments.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintenance practices.
Ambition to progress into supervisory roles in the future.

Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x (worth several thousand per year)
