Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newmarket Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 / 40 hours per week / Monday to Friday
Qualifications:
Strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance. Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics. Familiarity with various drive mechanisms, including simplex, duplex, chains, belts, gearboxes, and transmission systems. Valid UK driving licence; experience in a heavy industrial setting is essential. Forklift and MEWP licences are a plus but not mandatory. Experience in in-house fabrication and maintenance, including welding (MMA, MAG, MIG), flame cutting, and plasma cutting is preferred. Competence in using power tools such as abrasive wheels, plasma cutters, and mag drills is desirable.Educational Requirements:
City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Responsibilities:
Execute preventative maintenance and condition monitoring of production equipment as per schedules, ensuring accurate documentation of findings and completed tasks. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and operational teams to facilitate efficient maintenance processes. Conduct safety inspections of tools and machinery.
